Location: Washington, Maine
Weather: high 40’s various cloud types boldly showcasing the final rays of light this evening. And it’s a full moon too.
Observation: Driving home from dinner with family, we were passing the time on our drive as we often do. An audio book that led to conversations about living life sprinkled with our loving banter. The conversation was juxtaposed with the wild, rapidly shifting cloud cover and fading light.
I pointed at the light and clouds and told Jared that I wanted to capture it somehow. I knew we didn’t have a lot of time since the light was fading quickly at this point. Jared said what he often says, “I have an idea.” A brief detour on our travels home went by a lake and fields. The first stop was okay, but not quite what I was looking for to really get a sense for the clouds and colors in the sky. Then we bounded down a road past this field. Jared took one look at me and said “do you want to go back?” I replied, “yes, this is the spot for today’s image!” No time for discussion, he threw the car in reverse and backed up to the field. An approaching car slowed probably wondering what the heck we were doing. A wonderful mini adventure ending to our weekend.
