Location: Washington, Maine
Weather: cloudy and a cool 50 degrees
Observation: I’ve said it before and I’ll just keep on saying it—clouds are so freaking amazing. Tonight on my nightly commute, I abruptly pulled over before I ran myself off the road for “distracted driving” in the form of cloud gawking. I don’t know that I have ever seen clouds like these. They were intricately layered into waves. Once I safely had the car in park, i was able to look a little closer and would further describe the patterns of the clouds as beautifully detailed contours on a topographic map. It was a serendipitous moment to close out the day.
