Location: Oneonta, NY
Weather: Hot and sunny in the mid-80’s, with a lovely 68 this evening as the sunset.
Observation: Some days I see a lot of trail miles and other days lots of road miles. Today was one of those road miles kind of days. So as I arrived at my final destination, I jumped out of the car and climbed the largest hill I could find to capture a glimpse of the local flora as the sun crept toward the horizon. Along my drive I saw two locations with smoke billowing from the trees in the nearby distance. It’s early in the season, but it doesn’t take much for a controlled burn to run wild. I hope the small town I stopped for gas at in New York was able to contain it.
