We have been enjoying life in our rental cabin on a lake in Maine. The seasons are changing, the weather brisk, and the hours of light grow shorter each day. It is a time to recharge, reflect, and get outside often for sunrises and sunsets to admire the beauty of living on a lake in Maine. I am drawn to the features of the land and am embarking on a project that is uniquely different from my body of work so far. I love to hit the road and adventure in Maine and when I get the chance to new landscapes (most recently in Iceland). For this project, however, I will not be hitting the open road. I will be home capturing the beauty of seeing and learning about one place over a period of time.
Both of these images were created on different days standing in a similar spot at the edge of the steps to the dock (that has been taken in for the winter). The first image during the early morning light before I left for my 9 to 5 job. The second taken at sunset over the weekend.
