No Hitchhiking

Jlynn Frazier

As we reached the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire this "No Hitchhiking" sign caught our eye. It seemed absurd to us and this silly photo ensued.

As we reached the top by hiking it was a busy day as you can also access the top of the mountain by vehicle. Though I like the idea of providing opportunities for everyone to see the top of the mountain, it felt a little odd being so busy.

After a short break we were ready to leave the hustle and bustle of the swirling people and vehicles in pursuit of a more wild, less travelled side of the mountain. Not before capturing a few images of the cloud cover across the landscape and the train taking passengers to the bottom.

Waiting for the train to depart the cloud cover was thick and engulfing the landscape.

The clouds lifted just enough to make the trail visible as it headed back down the mountain.
