My first e-book Iceland Adventure is here!

Jlynn Frazier

My first e-book Iceland Adventure launched July 1 and it is free through July 5. The book is a collection of photographs from the two week trip paired with captions to share a piece of the adventure with you.

The mission of the trip was pretty simple: to go on a grand adventure and travel the Ring Road (and beyond) in a small white camper van. The Ring Road is 1,332-kilometers (828-miles) and we estimate we traveled nearly 2,000 to include a number of detours down routes and f-roads.

As we made our way around the Ring Road we found ourselves quickly making detours, including our first full day in Iceland. Where did we go? You will have to read the book! I can tell you we spent time venturing down rough dirt roads and across mountain passes to catch glimpses of snowcapped volcanoes, hidden waterfalls, and imposing glaciers. We saw a lot of sheep grazing in fields, and sometimes crossing the road in front of us!

I hope you will get your copy of Iceland Adventure which is free through July 5 (after it will be $2.99). I would love your thoughts and help to get this book out to your friends and family so share a link and let me know what you think on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or by emailing me at jlynn@jfrazierphotography.com

Consume Experiences: Countryside

Jlynn Frazier

Today is the day! Think of a place near or far and consider taking a road trip this year. Road trips (day trip, weekend trip doesn't matter) are for anyone and it is sure to be a wonderful adventure. To make the most of it, pack the night before and get up before the sun to see the way the light rises, changes, and fades throughout the day.

Consume Experiences: Idea in Action

Jlynn Frazier

I had an idea that came to fruition in August. While hiking a section of the Bigelow Range the previous summer I thought (and then said to Jared) "What if we get up really early and hike the whole range in a day?" The trip waited a year so that we could find a day when the sunlight would be longer. The trip didn't happen in June, July passed and still no trip, so early August came and it was time to make it happen.

The fun thing about a trip like this (and any hiking/outdoor adventure really) is the unknown. Check the weather report, pack up gear and camera equipment, grab snacks and plenty of water, and then you go. You cannot know what you will see, what will capture your curiosity and the click of the shutter. You just have to go and be open to the possibilities and the evolving adventure you are on.
