So far it has been a mild winter here, but not to worry there is still plenty of time for winter play. I love the sign peeking out from the snow instructing "walk your bike." Nothing quite like a little trail humor.
I HOPE TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO PAUSE FOR A MOMENT,
ADMIRE THE CLOUDS, CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN, GAZE AT THE STARS,
TRAVEL TO THE DESTINATION YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO VISIT,
OR JUST GET OUT TO EXPLORE YOUR OWN BACKYARD.

There are times to go slow and times to go fast, really fast!
Cold and icy with a view of Maine's second largest peak- Sugarloaf Mountain. It was our toughest hike of the year both times we hiked in the Bigelows. Mental toughness was the key during this snowshoe/ski in and hike up the fire warden's trail. It was very cold with brutally tough terrain at times. When we reached the top of West Peak and looked out on Sugarloaf it was an epic moment.
