The Passagassawakeag River, which flows into the Belfast Bay here in Maine, was alive and flowing rapidly showing few signs that winter would be hanging around. After taking a look off either side of the bridge, I returned to the car to get my camera.
As I looked down from the bridge overlooking the water facing upstream the ice dam released. Three clicks, three images. Together these images tell a beautiful story of the "Passy" as I watched the river transform from alive to raging. With my camera pointed straight down, I watched through my viewfinder mesmerized by the moment. Holy shit, it really was awesome!
